At Rexwood Group, we offer Construction Manager (Advisory Role) services, acting as a trusted advisor to guide projects from early planning through to final delivery. Our role focuses on protecting the client's interests, optimizing construction strategies, and ensuring that projects are executed with maximum efficiency and value. 

• Project Planning & Coordination: We assist in developing realistic project schedules, construction sequencing, and resource plans. Our early involvement helps prevent delays and inefficiencies by ensuring that the project is organized strategically from day one. 

•   Cost Management and Budget Oversight:  We support clients in preparing, reviewing, and monitoring project budgets. Through cost analysis and value engineering recommendations, we help optimize investments while maintaining project quality and controlling financial risks. 

•   Contractor and Vendor Advising:  We provide strategic input during contractor selection, procurement planning, and vendor negotiations. Our guidance ensures that partnerships are based on capability, value, and alignment with the client’s project goals and risk profile.  

•   Quality Control and Risk Management: We monitor construction practices and execution standards to ensure alignment with design intent, codes, and specifications. Our proactive risk identification and mitigation strategies protect the project against costly delays, rework, or safety issues. 

•  Progress Reporting and Client Representation:  We offer structured reporting on project milestones, budget status, risks, and construction progress. Acting as the client’s trusted representative, we provide transparency and advocate for client interests during project meetings and key decision points.

At Rexwood Group, this category involves the installation of non-load-bearing steel stud framing, gypsum board systems, and complete wall assemblies. These systems are integral to modern construction, offering structural alignment, soundproofing, fire resistance, and a smooth surface for finishes. 

•  Interior Partition Framing: Installation of metal studs and tracks to create non-load-bearing interior walls.  Includes frameworks for offices, retail spaces, and residential partitions. 

•  Gypsum Board Installation:  Attaching drywall panels to metal framing for walls and ceilings.  Includes single-layer or multi-layer applications for soundproofing and fire resistance. 

•  Suspended Ceilings: Installing metal grids and framing for drop ceilings. Provides a base for gypsum boards or other ceiling finishes. 

• Complete Wall Assemblies including wall Insulation & Vapor Barriers: Construction of full wall systems, including steel framing, insulation, vapor barriers, gypsum board, and finishes. Adding thermal and acoustic insulation within wall cavities. Installing vapor barriers to control moisture and enhance energy efficiency. 

• Applicable Contract Type: CCDC 17

 At Rexwood Group, we provide full General Contracting (Execution Role) services, managing the construction phase with precision, leadership, and accountability. As a licensed and experienced General Contractor, we take full responsibility for executing construction work according to project specifications, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery. We coordinate all trades, manage site operations, and ensure that every element of the project is completed to the highest standard — efficiently and within budget.

•  Full Project Execution:  We oversee and manage all aspects of on-site construction, including labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment, ensuring the project is delivered according to approved plans and specifications. 

• Subcontractor Procurement and Management:  We select, hire, and manage qualified subcontractors across all trades, ensuring alignment with project quality standards, timelines, and safety protocols.

• Construction Scheduling and Progress Monitoring : We develop detailed construction schedules and monitor progress daily, ensuring that critical milestones are met and any delays are proactively addressed. 

• Quality Assurance & Compliance:  We enforce strict quality control processes to ensure that construction meets all regulatory, code, and design requirements. Inspections, testing, and documentation are part of our structured quality management approach.
•  Safety Management: We implement comprehensive site safety programs, conduct regular inspections, and enforce compliance with WorkSafeBC and all occupational health and safety standards to protect workers and the public. 

• Project Handover and Closeout: We manage the final stages of construction, including commissioning, final inspections, deficiency corrections, and handover documentation, ensuring a seamless transition to occupancy or operations.

  At Rexwood Group, this category involves the application of protective and decorative coatings to enhance the appearance and durability of interior and exterior surfaces. Painting plays a crucial role in finishing projects, ensuring aesthetic appeal and long-term protection against environmental and wear-related factors.

•  Surface Preparation: Cleaning, sanding, priming, and repairing surfaces to ensure smooth and durable paint application.  Includes addressing cracks, dents, and old coatings. 

• Interior Painting:  Application of primers, sealers, and topcoats for walls, ceilings, and trim. Includes specialty finishes such as matte, satin, semi-gloss, and decorative textures.

• Exterior Painting: Protective and weather-resistant coatings for facades, doors, and trim.  Includes painting masonry, wood, and metal surfaces with UV-resistant and durable materials. 

• Specialty Coatings & Custom Decorative Finishes: Application of fire-resistant, anti-microbial, or high-performance coatings for specific needs. Faux finishes, accent walls, and unique artistic designs for high-end interiors.

•  Phase 1: Assessment & Feasibility: Evaluate the existing structure and identify renovation opportunities. Conduct feasibility studies to assess costs, timelines, and sustainability goals. 

• Phase 2: Design & Planning: Develop renovation plans tailored to client needs and regulatory requirements.  Integrate LEED principles to enhance energy efficiency and occupant well-being.

• Phase 3: Execution & Quality Control:  Manage construction activities with precision, ensuring minimal disruption. Monitor progress and maintain high-quality standards throughout the renovation process.

• Phase 4: Finalization & Handover:  Conduct final inspections to verify quality and compliance. Deliver the renovated space, complete with detailed documentation and sustainable upgrades.
